RS900M OEM Module

Datasheet / User Guide

Product Description

The RS900M OEM module is designed to enable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to embed utility grade Ethernet network communications within their “smart” devices found within electric power, intelligent transportation system and industrial automation applications. The RS900M OEM module provides a flexible, embedded network connectivity solution that fully supports operations within a secure, highly reliable, mission critical, real-time environment.

The RS900M contains the full featured Rugged Operating System (ROS®) that is found on all RuggedCom Ethernet switches. Key features include the Enhanced Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (eRSTP™) that provides the industry’s fastest network fault recovery, advanced networking
features such as VLANs, QOS, SNMP, and many cyber security functions that can be used to create a secure network. The RS900M enables OEMs to embed mature switching technology quickly and cost effectively.

The RS900M is designed specifically for harsh environments and supports applications that require IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 Class 2 and NEMA TS-2 certifications. The RS900M module is backed by RuggedCom’s no-nonsense 5-year warranty and facilities are provided for easy firmware upgrades.
